How to Make Black Halloween Punch
Got a black Halloween party theme going on? Here's how to make black Halloween punch to match:
Black Plague Punch
1 packet each- orange flavored and graped flavored drink mix
3 quarts water
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 liter ginger ale
Blue food coloring
Optional vodka, to taste (for adult Halloween parties- use black vodka!)
Stir together well in a punch bowl. Be sure to use cold water and ginger
ale. Don't add the ginger ale until just before the party so that it
doesn't go flat. Add just enough food coloring to make it black.

Orange Ogre Halloween Punch Recipe - This would look great beside the black Halloween punch!
2 liters 7UP soft drink
1 gallon orange juice
1 1/2 quart of orange sherbet
Mix the 7UP and orange juice in the punch bowl first. Pour the 7UP in
slowly so it doesn't lose carbonation. Add the sherbet to the punch in
large scoops just before the party.
Bloody Vampire Punch for Halloween
48 ounces each: cranberry juice, apple juice, and red fruit punch
2 liters ginger ale
Refrigerate all of the ingredients for at least a day so that the
Halloween drinks are good and cold. Then simply add everything to a
punch bowl and mix together just before the party. Slowly add the ginger
ale to keep it crisp.
Halloween Party Ideas for Non-Alcoholic Halloween Drinks
For an even spookier effect, make separate batches of ice cubes using
orange, purple, green, and/or red drink mixes separately. Add fake
plastic bugs to the ice cubes before freezing to go truly over the top.
Throw some of the fake bugs or spiders around the Halloween punch bowl,
too.
To add some 'punch' to your Halloween drinks, (sorry for the bad pun),
buy a cheap masquerade type mask. Cover the eye holes well with tape.
Fill the mask with prepared flavored drink mix that is green or red for a
really spooky effect. (Purple, red, or green hydration drinks or canned
fruit punch work well, too.) If using plain water, add food coloring.
Or leave it plain for a ghost look. Gingerly lay flat in freezer. Let
freeze. A few days ahead is best. Use as an ice ring and add it to your
Halloween punch just before the party starts.
Another Halloween punch party idea is to use those cheap, plastic, black
cauldrons found in stores everywhere during Halloween. Put your punch
in this instead of a traditional punch bowl.
You can also put gummy worms in the bottom of individual punch cups. Hang some of them off the rim of the punch bowl.
