Learning how to make a Margarita isn't difficult at all. A Margarita mixed drink recipe is a basic staple in any bartender's arsenal. Margarita mixed drinks are tequila cocktail drinks. Triple sec is also used in Margarita drink recipes. Triple sec is an orange-flavored liqueur.
Margarita means daisy in Spanish. No one knows the exact location or time that the Margarita drink was invented. But Margarita cocktail drinks started becoming popular sometime during the 1930s or 1940s.
Margarita drinks are often associated with tropical breezes and relaxing holiday vacations. Whether you are on vacation or at home with friends, Margarita cocktail drinks are delicious and easy to make.
How to Make a Margarita
The basic Margarita ingredients consist of just three liquids- tequila, triple sec, and lime juice.
To learn how to make a Margarita cocktail drink, just use 3 parts tequila, 2 parts triple sec, and 1 part lime juice. This is the ratio for a perfect Margarita recipe. Shake all of these Margarita ingredients together with ice cubes to chill well.
A cocktail shaker works best, but if you don't have a cocktail shaker, just shake your Margarita ingredients in a covered pitcher or simply cover a tumbler glass tightly with the palm of your hand.
Strain the Margarita ingredients into a Margarita cocktail glass that has been rubbed with lime juice and dipped in salt along the rim. An old-fashioned glass or a cocktail glass can be substituted if a Margarita glass isn't available. Garnish with a lime wedge, if desired.
