Popular 80's Cartoons
76Cartoons From the 1980s
Remember the great 80's cartoons, especially the catchy 80's cartoon theme songs? I personally liked Ducktales, Inspector Gadget, Rescue Rangers, and Muppet Babies. But I know that He-Man, Jem, G.I. Joe, Thundarr the Barbarian, and Transformers were also very popular cartoons from the 80s. Does anyone else remember David the Gnome? The dad from Happy Days, Tom Bosley, did the voice I think.
80s cartoons ran the gamut. There was something for everyone. I even used to catch myself getting ensnared in front of the tv with the kids. Maybe that doesn't say much for my intelligence level, who knows? Ha! But there truly was something for everyone. You could watch the super sweet Care Bears, Smurfs, and Little Bear. You could have adventure with G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Thundarr the Barbarian. And there was a bit in between with shows like Rescue Rangers, Jem, and Ducktales. Then there were the truly quirky and unique 80s cartoons like Inspector Gadget and Count Duckula. Kids today don't know what they're missing.
Relive your memories by watching and listening to these snippets of 80s cartoons theme songs and opening credits of popular cartoons. There are also some 80s cartoon episodes to watch. More 80's cartoons will be added a little at a time.

Care Bears- An 80s Decade Cartoon Phenomenon
Even if you didn't like the cuddly, cute, giggling Care Bears, you have to admit that they were an absolute essential part of 80s culture. Remember how they each had their own symbol on their tummies to give a hint of their personalities?
Heck, when I was in school in the navy, someone had even painted a huge mural of the Care Bears on our 'dorm' wall. You couldn't go into a store without seeing Care Bears- stuffed toys, t-shirts, cards, posters, they were everywhere! Pretty good results for a greeting card company, don't you think? Yeah, that's right. Care Bears were actually created by the American Greetings card company.
Remember all of the Care Bears names?
There originally were 10 Care Bears, and their names in alpabetical order include:
Bedtime Bear, Birthday Bear, Cheer Bear, Friend Bear, Funshine Bear, Good Luck Bear, Grumpy Bear, Love-a-Lot Bear, Tenderheart Bear, and Wish Bear. Many more were added throughout the years.

80s Cartoons Theme Songs
It's hard to beat theme songs of 80s cartoons. I couldn't pick a single one, but I may jog some memories with the following list of some awesome 80s cartoon songs:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
A few snippets-
"They're the world's most fearsome fighting team (We're really hip!)
They're heroes in a half-shell and they're green (Hey - get a grip!)
When the evil Shredder attacks
These Turtle boys don't cut him no slack!"...
"Heroes in a half shell- Turtle Power!"
How about the Inspector Gadget cartoon theme song? One of the best parts to this cool cartoon song was the funky music. And the sirens going off in the very beginning. You remember it, don't you? Other than Go, Gadget, Go, and Inspector Gadget Whoo Hoo, that was about all of the lyrics, but still...
Transformers Cartoon Theme Song from the 80s
"Robots in disguise, More than meets the eye"
Alvin and the Chipmunks
Okay, I have a soft spot for the Chipmunks, but it's a great song.
"Watch out, cause here we come!
It's been awhile, but we're back with style..."
"We'll bring you action, and satisfaction."
Chip 'N Dale
"There's no case too big, no case too small
When you need help, just call
Ch-Ch-Ch-Chip n Dale, Rescue Rangers!
Ch-Ch-Ch-Chip n Dale,
When there's danger"...
"Not since Watson and Mr. Holmes
Have two minds so fine
Looked under every stone"...
"No, no, it never fails
They'll take the clues
And find the wheres and whys and whos"...
C'mon now, that's songwriting gold!
Smurfs Cartoon Theme Song
You gotta smile when you hear those horns blowing at the beginning!
Ducktales theme song is just catchy-
"Ducktales, Woo- oo!"
Darkwing Duck-
"Let's Get Dangerous!" He was so cool, and so was his song, sexy even.
Muppet Babies Theme Song
You know you love it!
"Muppet Babies, we make our dreams come true
Muppet babies, we'll do the same for you!"
Honorable Mentions:
Heathcliff
Jem
GI Joe

Very fun! I wish cartoons were still like this.
I think you must be a little younger than me, those are all programs that my younger brother liked. One of my favourites was Battle of the Planets - do you remember that one?
Yeah great hub, as a child of the 80's I remember a fair few of these, but among them all either he-man or thundercats stood out for me, I had most of the action figures..and still do today!! Ah! 80's nostalgia, and today it is brain rotting fan fair on the box, no wonder the worlds in a state, not up to standard cartoons anymore!!
I agree waynet - Thundercats was a standout. One of my best friends was obsessed with He-Man & She-Ra.
ATTENTION ALL CENTURIONS FANS!!!This is definitely a great cartoon, with all the technology it needs. It deserves to be on DVD.There is an online petition for this show, that is trying to convince the people that own the show to release them on DVD which is very cool, if we get many requests from fans and others, then maybe our dream will come true.http://www.petitiononline.com/6600F/petition.html
he man, thunder cats, j a t w w granted are all top class but there seems to be 1 absoulute classic people fail to mention and that is ullysees 31. how can anyone forget about that? to me it is my outstanding memory of cartoons from that era...... any one else feel the same?
Dear Angela Harris
This site brings back memories. The thundercats used to be my favorite show and now I am glad that I get to watch it again. I was wondering if you ever thought about posting Alvin and the chipmunks. I heard it was considered to be a popular 80s show and I have seen maybe two episodes and thought it was very good.
can u get alvin and the chipmunks?
This was fantastic so glad i came across this, one other 80's cartoon was Rainbow Brite with all the sprites who were always battling against Murky and Lurky who took all the colours from the world. rainbow Brite and the Colour kids used to go and put them all back again there with the help of their sprites!!!!
Going to an 80's fancy dress Party at the end of November and would really love to be able to get a really good 80s cartoon costume, Has anybody seen any that are reasonably priced??
Very cool idea! All of these are after my time. I was a "Hong Kong Phooey" "Sigmund and the Sea Monsters" "Land of the Lost" "Captain Kool and the Kongs" "Groovy Ghoulies" 70's generation. But I loved this hub, and passed the link on to some friends I know will get a kick out of it.
BTW, I grew up in Brooklyn just a few blocks from Scot Baio. I think about him this time of year, beause I remember trick or treating at his house every year as a kid. Blast from the past...
Ducktales was cool and so was Thundarr. great hub, thanks.
Awesome I love this page. A kid of the Eighties myself this is great! I remeber almost everyone of these and laughed out loud. Consequently my four year old also loved it! Nothing like the classics!
nobody seen bravestar....i was pondering trying to figure out there was these dogs trying to find every dog a home....(not pound puppies) hmmm....what cartoon was that came on maybe after punky brewsters cartoon
What a great hub... thanks for sharing..
So many classics! Quality hub you got here :)
Thundercats was my absolute favourite - even had the toy sword and everything :D Visionaries was another one, it's great that all the old classics are coming out on DVD now :)
Was reminded of one the other day during random conversation about retro cartoons - anyone remember Widget? Or was that more 90's?
Does anyone remember a cartoon with a super hero baby, and a super hero guy made out of ropes? I can remember the cartoon but not the name of it and it is driving me crazy lol
HELP!!! My little brother and I were having a discussion about cartoons he and I watched in the 80's. He watched all the typical "car" ones. He mentioned one that was about a type of superhero that was trying to always stop a bad guy who would plant "seeds". The seeds would end up destroying an area and the "fruit" that would grow was a car or bus or semi-truck. He insists it is NOT Captain Planet. Any ideas? Thanks.
Jessie... Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, by any chance? Sure sounds like it :)

Does anyone remember the cartoon where there were 4 characters; 3 guys and 1 girl and they had a ship that transformed into a phoenix?
does anyone remember a puppet like show with humans? it was about two puppets ( one with curly pink hair (female) and one with curly blue hair (male)) and a big elephant traveling to see a witch on the mountains. small details i remember were a glowing raspberry looking fruit in a glass jar. WHAT'S THE NAME? HELP!
Does anyone remember this low budget cartoon about mice running a circus. The lead mouse was bossy, and i remember a female mouse, but not the other characters! omg please help me remember this!
I think remember the cartoon about a dog called PETE/PETER.
There was another dog in it with a neckerchief and I THINK there was a puppy who was a yellowy colour that could fly with his long ears....Anybody else got a clue what I'm onto...??
I am looking for a tv cartoon, from the 80's called "The Munchichies". Does anyone have any clips or video of this? If you do, email me at blimpmaster_01@yahoo.com. Thank you.
The cartoon was called H.R. Pufnstuff, I think.
Hey, what about Kissyfur or the Wuzzles? ANyone remember the interspecial creatures and their shenanigans? Yeah, good times. Eating cereal in my pajamas, tangled and matted hair, and finally, remember OG readmore, the in between cartoon cat, who encouraged us all to read? Well, it must've worked because I read now, in my 30's.
Battle of the Planets had the best opening theme song ever for a cartoon. I used rush home after to school to catch this cartoon.
i rememebr the cartoon about the plane phoenix. it was a bunch of teens, and their helmets were shaped like the bird they were meant to be, it was around the time of zodiac knights.
phat gurl: the show you're talking about was the hugga bunch. very cool movie...watched it all the time on a vhs copy!
im pretty sure its hugga bunch...i dont remember an elephant and the boys hair was redish brown. but they were puppets/mupets and the red berries in the jar were to make you young again. they had to go through the mirror in the girls room to get to them. does this sound familiar?
The cartoon that we are speaking of with the ship that becomes the phoenix is G force I think...
It would be nice if the tv stations would bring back the cartoons that we grew up too. I think they are scared to because all of the new ones that came out would slip in the rateings. Then toy manufacturers would have to start producing the old toys again. You know it is a sad wold we live in when people take away the things that mean the most to us.
The cartoon with the dogs looking for Peter was The Puppy's New Adventures. Petey was the name of the little dog the boy was Tommy.
ok guys im lookinf for a 1980's movie, it had a bear and a guy that look like a french painter and all the animals of the forest were good, but were being scare, by some force that had a giant castle that look evil with water wheel with spikes on it can you tell me what its called i have no clue.

80's were the best for Cartoons !!!
What was the name of the cartoon who had to eat something hot in order to turn into a car?
when i was young i used to run through to my parents room on sunday mornings and watch a cartoon on channel 5 (uk) and it was set on an island and there were bird characters, a blue one that wore a flat cap i think, and a big beige coloured one with multi coloured beak i think, and it had a really cool intro theme, its driving me nuts. the end titles had a picture of the island with the credits rolling.
hope someone can help!

ok someone help me out with this movie,
There was a fluffy ball that was purple and had a tail, and the object of the movie was to collect shapes and go from scene to scene building things with the shapes you collect. You had to build a boat and save a mermaid and then build a key. there was a pirate with a bird on his sholder and you went down into a sub underwater. it wasnt animated but more like felt characters being pulled around on strings.
let me know!!
I use to watch hugga bunch, bonkers, duck tales, care bears, rainbow bright, captain planet, pork chop, barney!!!! If I can think of any other ones I will add them. I am still trying to find a place to watch hugga bunch cartoon episodes online that was my fav when I was a baby!!!

I'm trying to remember the name of a cartoon I used to watch it the early 90's. It was set on a tropical island which was inhabited by trolls (the toys with the upright hair), and every episode an evil lady in red who was their enemy would come past on a steam ship with two guys who were her henchmen, and try to take over the island. Anyone remember this?
I remember a cartoon in the late 80s/early 90s where small people with colored hair (looked somewhat like trolls, but not exactly) lived on a tropical Island. I think its the same one you're asking about..with the evil skinny lady on the steam boat and a chubby guy as her henchman. I've been trying to figure out the name of this one for years!!
Found it ~ The Smoggies!
Hi does anybody know the name of a cartoon from the 80s about a little women that used to shrink. Thats all i remember but i know i loved it. Thanks

The only thing close is Avatar and Ben 10.
Does anyone remember an 80s cartoon about a guy with black hair, he had very tan skin, very muscled. Used to live in a HUGE tree with a bunch of gnomes/dwarves. He goes on one adventure and ends up in a cave and talks to people made of flames. Anyone know what I'm talking about? It's driving me crazy!!!!

Oh yeah right on for remembering Dinosaucers and Dinoriders!!!
great is that all the 80's cartoon
Okay, here's some answers to some of the questions you retro-junkies keep asking for: The show with the 4 teens who had a ship that turned into a Phoenix was "G-Force" aka Gatchaman in Japanese; the Smurfs were short, blue and only wore white pants and hats (except for smurfette) and were always trying to stay hidden from Gargamel and his cat Azreal; Pole-Position, Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Frogger and Q-Bert made up the Saturday Arcade based on the arcade games from that era; Turbo Teen was the boy who was chased by the maniac in the monster truck into a science lab with his Corvette into a photon lazer of some sort that fused them together, and when he got hot he would turn into the car, cold again, and (you guessed it) back into a boy who had two best friends; The Wuzzles was a Disney cartoon that combined two animals or an animal and an insect to create another such as Bumble-Lion; Monchichies were little monkey like creatures that lived together in trees and had darker versions that didn't like their happiness; seems people have forgotten all about the Shirt Tales that lived in a tree in the zoo near a park and wore little T-shirts that would word the expressions of what was going on (memorable creatures with names like Bogie the orangutan who talked a little like Humphrey Bogart or Tiger who was just that and happened to be the leader; Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was always battling the evil Sawboss looking for his father across the universe; Snorks were the underwater version of smurfs with hoses that grew out of the top of their heads, and they came in different colors; Fantastic Max was the baby who had the coolest mohawk and had a pull-string alien "toy" and not a rope friend as described by Annette above, but a robot with a bow-tie that was always trying to help keep max out of trouble (the martian could always turn the sand box into a rocket with magic); Dungeons and Dragons took the game to a whole new level by taking five kids from the real world via a Dungeons and Dragons roller coaster into the Dragonmaster's world and making each one a character from the game, so-to-speak, and giving them aide from the Dungeonmaster to find their way home (they did make it home once, but had to go back to stop the Dragonmaster from taking over our world); there was the Batman animated series based on the movie with Michael Keaton; another Disney series called Marsupalami about a very wierd creature that looked like a cross between a monkey and a cheeta with something like a 25ft. tail who had a gorilla for a companion with a purple T-shirt (the gorilla not the other thing); glow worms which were colorful bedtime buddies that was a cute show that helped kids fall asleep better (don't remember too much of the underlying premis); Mr. Potatohead and family based on the toy series; Robotech (early anime for America) from the 70's brought into the 80's about an alien race that lost one of their ships in the "90's", and earth built a city around it, used their technology to create new types of fighter planes that could fly in outer space, but then accidentally used the crashlanded ships technology to warp to the outer part of our solar system (with an annoying song...AAAAAUUUUUGGGHHH!!!... by the lovable Min May); Lazer-Tag had a girl from the 21st century come back to the past to save her ancestor from being destroyed by an evil scientist who wanted the technology for himself based on the popular toy of the time to boost sales; who can forget Inspector Gadget whose lovable antics always got him into a situation that involved the evil power M.A.D. run by the ruthless Dr. Claw whose face was always hidden and only showed the gloved fist with the spiked wrist band, madcat his side kick, and Gadget's saving grace in the guise of Penny his booksmart niece who always had her computer book (the first laptop ever) and Brain the lovable family dog with a communications collar for keeping in touch with Penny for those tough situations (by the way, how does a fully mechanical man have a niece anyways???); He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, from Eternia, always a classic (the hair does raise some questions, though, no matter Prince Adam or the hero); and so many more. And all this from just remembering. I try to stay nostalgic and love reminiscing about my child hood days. And to the few of you above, you're right, why don't they have the messages like in the olden days? Kids today wouldn't know a good moral if it came up and asked to help them. We're too involved in what's the other person want from me? How about just helping and not getting. I'll try to think of some more to help out, but right now my brain ran into "Cartooners Block", heh-heh! L8Rz!!!
anyone remember a show about these dogs that saved the world, had a super-high tech headquarters and one dog was always chained/locked up in a straight jacket?
never mind, I just remembered. Road Rovers, from the 1990s

I have been searching for this show for years and years. It starts with a bedroom at night and a bunch of plush toys that are lifeless. You hear the song, "The more we get together together together...the more we get together the happier we'll be!" And soon, all of the toys are holdings hands with children and dancing and singing together. PLEASE! I will lose my mind if I don't figure this out.
Thank you!

Anyone remember a cartoon maybe 80's or maybe 90's, with a bunch of female bears?? I remember one bear was realy awesome at hula-hooping, and they had to save an amusement park by getting more honey? Seems like honey was their fuel or energy source or something. It may have been just a one time video or movie, but it's really been bugging me for the past few years that I can't remember.
HELP!!! I am trying to remember a kids show that had a talking cloud named cumulus, a talking lion, and a purple elephant. Can anyone help me remember the name?
Does anyone remember the name of this cartoon? All I can remember is that there was this girl, and it was like she lived alone on some moon. She was lonely and eventually figured out a way to catch shooting stars in a butterfly net or something, and she'd travel to other planets. I don't remember much more than that. It's been driving me nuts trying to figure out what that was.

Hello everyone,
user rea7adversae made a comment about an 80's cartoon movie 4 months ago and didn't get any reply I think. He mentioned something about a movie that some creatures were scared by some giant green monsters and they went for aid for a human scientist. I remember the monsters stealing dreams or the children (can't remember) during the night in human cities when people were asleep. I remember that at the end of the movie the giant monsters get trapped in some giant chamber in a city. I wish someone would be able to aid with a name for this movie. The movie was shown in Disney Channel. Another movie shown at the same time, and sorry for this but I can't remember barely anything about it. All I recall is that there was one of the main characters, which was a small blue monster with a single horn, a kinda lion's tale and it had I think a type of Emo haircut. HOpe someone can aid me!
Hi, I'm trying to figure out the title of an anime that was out in the early 80's. It was about a princess that lived in a spaceship and had 3 warriors that protected her. They usually went into their small space crafts that detached from the spaceship whenever they went out to fight evil guys. One of the warriors that a thing around his head and the princess could use a device that could cause him pain. Please help! A million thanks!
Can anyone remember a cartoon, think it was about 50 minutes long ( I had it on video from Woolworths), about a brother and sister who are stuck at home on a rainy day and then two dogs come along. They sing songs, think one was called It's a Dog's Life and another Where's Everybody Going?. I can even remember how the songs go. I can't find anything about it, let me know if it rings a bell with you!
I'm looking for a show circa 1985-1988 with people in what seemed to be very colorful cat or lion suits. They were singing, dancing, and the whole show was very colorful. It's been driving me crazy for years trying to find it, because I don't remember the name, or channel it was on. I wanna say it was Disney? It was on around the time Dumbo's circus was on... PLEASE HELP!!!
Finally found it! Zoobilee Zoo!
ALEJANDRO and rea7adversae
The one with the green things and something stealing dreams I think was probably Moondreamers. They rode on flying leaves right? The bad guy was a massive talking dragon on a throne in a volcanic cave. He had an assistant called Erpgore who'd come up with the evil plans.
DAN The one about the princess catching balls of light in a net is actually The Little Prince (or maybe te littlest prince). It's from a childrens book of the same name.
PHIL...no I do not recall it being that. I wish I remember that darn movie. I don't recall any dragon.
@Blythemobile
The cartoon with the dark guy and the creatures living in a tree was Blackstar.
Thank you Danielle! I've been wondering what show that was for YEARS now!!!! YAY! So happy I found these postings!

The only bit i remember clearly was this blue parrot like bird driving in a small yellow car with a lion!? Definatly set on like a tropical island. And there was a main town too. I think it was on after Ivor the Engine?
Really need help on this one!
If you guys read above, some of the answers are in my long answer. If not, I can find them out.
Meggggs i to have been trying to recall this video i think there was a bear on roller skates also and i think they were forgottern bears but yes honey was what ran everything but cant think what it was called, please if you find out let me know.
Hey guys Im looking for a cartoon where it was a gang of characters that were looking for a phoenix that was trapped inside a mountain I think. There was a wolf, a pink thing, a yellow thing with one eye and a giant golem, as well as a boy and a girl I think. Any idea what this was?
I have this cartoon that haunts me and I can not for the life of me think of the name. It was about princesses and they had little animals that lived in their hair??? HELP
LADY LOVELY LOCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need your help remembering this cartoon I watched as a kid in the 80s. It had these silver bird people flying around everywhere and there was a gold one that was mute or talked weird or something. I can't remember if they fought crime or battled monsters or whatever. I would like to look it up and try to watch it again, so any help would be great.
Thanks for helping me to remember the Smoggies...I've been trying to remember for a couple of years...couldn't find it.
@Phil no it's not that movie :/ the characters are not human as i recall, but there is some big evil 'monster' trapped in a cave or something...
Hi all,
Can anyone help me with info/titles of two 80's cartoons (?!) that my folks use to rent for me from our local video store around the mid 80's?
Both are vague, but the first had an old man of sorts that use to enter open windows of children and either steal their dreams, Christmas presents or the children themselves?!! In addition to this I remember, one child being taken to, I think, a junk yard? It use to scare the $hit out of me but, in a Zelda from Terrahawks way, I couldn't help but watch!
The second, what I'm now led to believe, is a Japanese style cartoon that featured a boy and a female golden robot?
Would be great to see these again! Others I loved where 'The Snorks', 'Galaxy High' and 'Alfred J. Kwak'
I have hazy memories of a cartoon which I must have watched in the early 90's. It was green creatures who could ride around on flying leaves. Any clue?!
cragger thank you :DDDDD i've been looking for that cartoon for months :)
Im trying to remember an old movie i would get all the time back in the 80s... i cant really remember the plot but it was a VHS you could rent at the store and it had a bunch of monster trucks in it. I thought it was turbo teen but i was wrong. Any other 80's cartoons with larg trucks that looked like monster trucks?
The boy with a teddy bear that comes to life when time stops/freezes and they both go through a portal/vortex to save a girl named Nina... That's Paul in Fantasy Land cartoon. The teddy has some kind of magical powers, he carries a want that he (it) taps on a wall, and a black hole appears.
THANKS Cragger!!! I was looking for Ovide Video too and you found it for me. YAYAYAYYAYAY
Alejandro- the blue devil guy with the lion tail is Beez and the movie is Unico, about a little Unicorn. my favorite!
Does anyone remember a cartoon, perhaps from 80s/90s, about a car (he might be yellow... or blue... my tv was funny that way...) who was looking for his mother? Or, rather, he found her in the last episode, whether or not that was the whole plot... it used to be in the 1990s, but I think it was just re-runs. It wasn't exactly anime, but maybe american-ised? Thanks
Does anyone The name of the cartoon that had a bossy pumpkin named Nobody. He had 2 sidekicks a skeleton and a vampire (or werewolf) I think one of there names was Dumb Dumb.
Looking for the name of a 1980s cartoon; possibly anime or even French???; about a young boy and his English sheepdog; I think it is set during WWII or that period; they are running from someone or trying to find their way home. It wasn't overtly caricature in style - more realistic. Does anybody remember it?

OMG Lance, thank you so much, i remember this cartoon from my childhood, but only in small fragments, i was never close to remembering the name. I have been searching for this cartton on various forums for a couple of years and it has been driving me crazy. Again thank you so much for putting me out of my misery, downloading from piratebay as we speak. :-) :-) :-)
Greetings from Norway!
-This is my first time to this fantastic Hub of yours.-
I have been looking for two animated films from my child hood. i don't know when they were made but i must have seen them in the late '80s or early '90s.
the first one is done in similar animation to the felix movie, about a bunch of bouncing ball people in space. i think they were on a ship and trying to escape something. my first thought was that it was called "great balls of fire" or "balls of fire," something like that.
The other was more anime style, about a small man living in the sea with the marine life and a small woman living on the land with the land creatures. long story short, they fall in love but cant live within each others worlds. In the end they both sacrifice themselves.
If anybody can help me i would greatly appreciate it. Im tired of no one knowing what im talking about.
Thank you!
@Snufkin
its called bumpety boo
great site but u do need some thundercats, tmnt, and snorks. the 80's to early 90's had great cartoons that sparked imagination. todays kids (including my own unless i can find all of the old cartoons) r in real trouble. the generation after us is a bunch of pansy and is raising there kids that way. no more violence is in the cartoons. its all sponge bob crap. great just what we need a bunch of kids wanting to work at a fast food joint instead of getting a degree. im so sick of these old people making my decisions and the decision that my kids cant have good verses evil or even witness death in there cartoons and movies. may i remind everyone of episode 1 of thundercats or even better the movie old yeller the boy killed his own dog and my generation is just fine we r not all a bunch of crazy unadjusted psycho's running around. when is it going to stop may i ask??
Show on cartoon network with 4 character. The leader wore a white outfit and there was a fat one that wore a green one. There masks were shaped like beaks.3 guys one girl i believe. Plzzz help me find out the name of this cartoon

ok i'm trying to remember this old anime i watched i think it had a talking bird and either a red rhino or triceratops and this boy who loved a princess she turned into a statue he kissed her and turned her back later she's being forced to marry this guy she doesn't love and i think she's locked in a tower she decides he can have her but not her heart so she takes it out and sends it adrift at sea i can't really remember any more please help me!
Does anyone remember an anime type series in the 80's about of small group of space travelers. The main guy looked normal but was a cyborg and was in love with the woman on the ship who I'm pretty sure was some sort of princess and I think he was assigned to protect her..I know it's vague :s
Anyone know a movie with I think a robotic bear/animal that takes place in space. There were humans, space battles, very futuristic. I remember maybe the bear wore a gold suit of armour?
Then ending someone dies, its really sad, then comes back accompanied with some 80's song That sounds like Bob segers still the same.
It seemed like a big budget epic movie...
What was the name of the cartoon that came on right before or after Alving and the Chipmunks? It was about a scientist. Does anyone know where I can see an episode of this? sbrannon
I remember a early 90's (I think) programme that I'm sure had real people and puppets (possibbly an owl) and they used to pick a stone from a box and plant it and it would grow immediately! And another programme where the little girl wore yellow wellington boots and ran or skipped up the street.....does anyone know the names of these its been bugging me for years?!?!
I remember a movie it's gotta be from the 80's or 90's about an underwater world. I remember it had some scary parts and for some reason I remember the cartoon characters swimming through a cave to get to the underwater world. Does anyone know what I'm talking about??
Love the 80's! Our poor kids lack imagination nowadays from all the crap they watch on Tv.
There was a cartoon based in medieval times, the characters looked weird, an 8 legged yellow creature, there was a professor...an evil creature that hopped up the tower of his master who wore a purple robe? Can't remember the name for aaaaages now! Pls HELP
does anyone remember an old show bout a little green alien that used to come out of the sand someone wit a clue let me know please
The creature in the sand is from a programme called five children and it. I loved it :-)
Can someone help me? I've been looking for a certain cartoon (I think it aired on O Canada back in the day) about a citizens of a town whose dreams are stolen by this villain in a laboratory, who store the dreams in bottles/jars/boxes. One dream in particular is of a little girl: she dreams of riding on the back of huge bird. At the end of the film the little girl goes in and gets everyone's dreams back, including her own which she shares with the transformed villain.
What is this cartoon? I can't remember the name or anything else about it, but I know it was truly beautiful. I really hope someone else remembers this. If you do please help me out.

''Ah,yes the 1980's.A great time to grow up, with so many different toys lines for BOTH gals and guys. All the galpals remember the cartoon theme songs to-''She-Ra'',''Barbie,'' ,''Strawberry Shortcake''. For the guys , it was.. of course,G.I.JOE!..especially my favorite cartoon commercial about the..1986 COBRA NIGHT RAVEN S3P BLACK V.I.P.JET TRANSPORT PLANE''!
Hi guys im looking for a show that was on Channel 5 after milkshake in the late 90's early 00's all I know is there was a guy with long black hair and owned a red convertible and would always wear sunglasses... and I think there was a small girl involved somewhere.. let me know sakurachii@yahoo.co.uk thanks
Heya guys this is driving me crazy does anyone remember a show that was on the den back in the eighties, there were three heroes/the main hero wore red armour and wielded a spear and wen the other two died they would transform into cards that he could use to transform into a samurai with purple hair???also there was a girl they were protecting that rode around in a robotic swan.also wen they defeated enemies they would transform into cards.i cant remember the name at all.
These two are driving ME crazy!
Both were animations shown in the late 1980s/early 1990s at insomniac times on channel 4.
The first, which i'm desperate to see again, was about a cat that got woken up by a hideous ringing alarm clock. he was scrabbling to switch it off, but the perspective kept on changing, so for example the bunched-up carpet would flip over, and he would be sailing on the sea in a boat. It might have been czech or hungarian or something, and there were no words, only music.
And i know the second was an award-winning Canadian animation - again, no words, only fiddle music. it began with a man chopping a tree down, and then the tree got turned into different things - a cradle for a baby, a rocking horse when the child got older, a rocking chair when the child was an old man, and very possibly a coffin when the child eventually died - but i might have made that last one up!
Anyone know anything about these two animations? thanks in advance :)
@afc
I think you are thinking of Battle of the Planets
@vicky
It sounds like Mrs Pepperpot. I had the books as a kid and didn't know they'd made a cartoon of it, but it looks as though it was given the anime treatment - search for Mrs Pepper Pot or Spoon Oba-san
Not sure if any of you remember this, but I distinctly recall a cartoon in the 80's where the Three Little Pigs were actually henchman to the main villain. The only thing I remember is them finding something on a radar reminiscent to a submarine sonar, which opened up the episode.
Also, I thought the Monchichis had a blue furry character with two heads. I guess that's from another cartoon set in the jungle. I could've sworn it also involved a jungle treehouse. The rest of the characters were furry animals.
Look up DIC Entertainment the one's you are searching for are probably listed there.
JP: this is probably "the racoons"?
@susy and @nicole; I am looking for the show with the princess and space travellers as well! Were the warriors different colours (costumes)? Was one fat?
think ive found the Princess + Space Traveller show:
"Starzinger" or "Spaceketeers" http://home.swipnet.se/~w-28895/
Guys theres a cartoon that i dont remember that had a teenage (ithink) boy that had yellow Jamaican hair and had a pink huge insect friend! I reaaaally wanna know the name of this cartoon :(
@Hayley
Greenclaws x
im trying to find this short cartoon about a boy that draws himself and plants sum seeds. He is a small person and a girl helps him turn on the sink. i only remember those parts, i think it was on nickelodeon. it was in black and white.
I have two cartoons that have been bugging me for years-
First one was on Nickelodeon in the mornings, between '88 ans '91, bout a guy who solved crimes and drove a grey-ish car around-the settings reminded me of France for some reason.
Second one was about two guys, in a white car, either solving crimes or spying, but they were always in chases and it looked like virtual reality (the animation that is), might have been on PBS in the late '80's. Thanks all!
Okay I'm driving myself crazy trying to find this 1980's anime. My memory is verrry foggy. All I can remember is a little black haired girl walking through the forest eating magical red berries. And there's a unicorn. At some point he's on the edge of a cliff? I dunno, ring any bells?
does anyone remember the cartoons where the characters kinda looked like green monsters and when the husband arrives from work he used to say
HONEY IM HOME
Clearly the dinosaurs

My son and I are looking for the same video.
I think the little boy was called Max and possibly one of the dogs was called Ralph, one dog was a bulldog. We haven't had any luck finding it or the title. Anyone out there can help?
''The 1980's. So many cartoons to choose from for every boy and girl to enjoy. When one would see a g.i.joe cartoon commercial jingle, about a brand new action figure or vehicle you would just get excited, especially when the commercial jingle was about:The 1986 COBRA NIGHT RAVEN S3P BLACK V.I.P.JET TRANSPORT PLANE.''
Does anyone know the name of the animated cartoon that was about a family with a baby plant that was alive? I just remember they lived in a skyscraper...Not much sorry.
click into youtube and look up for '80s cartoon overload' as they have intro of 80s cartoon..cool way, if you want to find long lost 80s cartoons that you remember the shows but forgotten the name..make sure follow the thread of about 8parts of approx 9-10 mins of intro of all known 80s cartoon... i just feel 80s were just an amazing decade and how do i yearn to back then..sigh,wish i could have doc's 'delorean' now..
Although you have great taste in the classics, you forgot three best of all time. ThunderCats, Silverhawks, M.A.S.K. How can I find these classic collections?
I am looking for a saturday morning cartoon, circa 1980's-early 1990's not Tailspin, not Disney, about a bear who's mother is a school teacher, and there is no father bear. Some of the students are gators and they act good but sometimes behind the adult's back they are tricky. The theme song for the show had no vocals, and sounded oriental.
i remember vaguely a carton with a little green alien and he had a ring pull for his nose i think! im not sure if it had something to do with a toy box????
